Nora Louise Popa

Nora Louise Popa, age 91, of Louisville, OH passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026. She was born October 15, 1934 in Indiana, PA to the late Clarence and Charlotte Helman. Nora was a member of the Stepping Stones for Ohio Valley University and the Louisville Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a retired bookkeeper for the former J.B. McCoy Co. She loved spending time with her family and traveling with her 3 best friends, they called themselves the “Fab4.”

Nora was preceded in death by her husband, George Popa in 1982 and two sisters, Dorothy Steinman and Marie Kiesel. She is survived by her daughter, Nora (Robert) Weigand; four grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Ward, Nathan (Nicole) Ward, Jeremy Ward and Andrew Ward, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday (3/4) at Stier-Israel Funeral Home. Calling hours will be 10-11am Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
